Kaden went to his very 1st circus yesterday! Besides getting pretty upset when I told him I would not buy him a $15 plastic gun (that would break or be lost within 5 minutes of getting it home), he loved every minute of it. He got to eat popcorn, cotton candy, chocolate & even got to have a pop all to himself. The tigers and elephants were definitely his favorite part – the tigers didn’t seem very happy with their trainer and we got to hear one growl pretty loud. Kaden loved spending the day with Aunt “Tabiwa” and it was so nice to get out and do something besides work or grocery shopping.
Here are some pictures from our day! We went to the petting area before the Circus started – Kade actually touched almost everything, but he kept going back to find the donkey he’s petting in both of the pictures below.
We already told Zach that we’ll have to go back again next year and take Irelyn to her 1st circus 🙂
Now for our other exciting news, Zach is finally to Griffin! That’s where he’ll be staying til he comes home, so he’s finally done moving around. Hopefully he’ll have internet on his laptop in the next few days and we’ll be able to Skype. Kaden’s definitely been missing him lately… before going to bed last night he told me that he “doesn’t want Zach to be bye bye anymore and he wants Zach to be home with him”. It’s not easy trying to explain how much longer he has to wait until Zach comes home, but he knows he’s coming back.
Here’s one last picture from yesterday; Kaden could NOT hold still long enough to be anything more than a blur.
Well, I’ve got to wake Kaden up and get us ready for church – hope you all have a great week!
“Distance is not for the fearful, it is for the bold. It’s for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in exchange for a little time with the one they love. It’s for those knowing a good thing when they see it, even if they don’t see it nearly enough.”
